Festival of Trees Skit

Well, we didn't get it all recorded tonight as I had hoped, but I will post the skit on here so you can have your lines if you've lost them.

We'd also like to welcome our newest member, Ellia.  I'm not sure how she spells her name.  She's super cute and will fit right in with these fabulous performers.

I will have posted on here our Performance Schedule as well as any updates with the program.  If you'd like to Follow this blog, they will pop up on your blog list. :)

Thanks again and check back soon!

McKenna's Bridge, Kick-over!

McKenna JUST started gymnastics but you would never be able to tell.  On her first day, she learned how to fall back into a bridge.  On her second day she learned how to kick over!  THAT is amazing!  Any of you who have tried this know how hard this is.  I am very proud of her.  Here she is!

Performance Singing Group - Starts Today!

I just thought I'd send out a reminder that our Performance Singing Group starts today!  We're going to have a fabulous class.  This is what we will be doing today.

* We will how to warm up correctly and warm down their voice

* We will learn how their voice works and how to get the sound they want

* We will learn a new song as well as the dance moves to the first verse

* We will talk about stage presence and the correct way to hold a microphone

* We will get a feel for all the new voices and pick out their solo song

Please make sure your child is there at 4.  Also send me an email at:

performanceacademy@yahoo.com or call 552.1262 if you have any questions.

I plan on having their first performance in November,
so we've got a lot to learn in a short period.

Where is my location?

Many of you have asked where we're located at and CLASSES START TOMORROW!!

We're located in the Eagle Rock Dance Academy building.  The building is quite new so many of you may not be familiar with it, however the logo is above.

The physical address is:

2873 E 14th N
Ammon, ID 83401

If you know where Majestic Auto is on Hitt Road (close to the round-about), you'll see many warehouses.  There are other gym, dance, and other warehouses there,
but to get to where we are, DRIVE UNTIL THE 2ND BUILDING TO THE END.

It is the 2nd building from the last on the left!
You will see the logo above on the side.

The floors are new and have springs under them.  There are windows around the room and there's a place for the parents to sit and watch.  I think you're really going to love it! :)

CLASSES START THIS WEEK!

I'm really excited for classes to start this week!  I love working with kids.  I don't know if you've seen or not, but I've added a Group Guitar and Group Violin class.  These are cheaper than private lessons and you don't get the one on one, (although I'll do my best) so it's more like the program you find in the school.  I would like to only have 6 kids in each class.

My Violin method is the Suzuki method.  There are so many reasons I prefer this.  It's great for teaching ear training as well as music theory.  I will also throw in a little "fiddle" just for fun. :)

The Guitar method I will be using is the book written by "The Guitar Guy".  Your child will be playing a song possibly by the first lesson.  It's the best guitar book I've found out there.

Please send me an email at: performanceacademy@yahoo.com or call at 208.552.1262 if you'd like to sign up.  Thanks!

Group Guitar and Violin

Performance Academy is pleased to announce group Guitar and group violin lessons.  We will only allow 6 kids at a time in the classes so if you're interested, call today.

Violin lessons will be taught based on the Suzuki Method, which includes ear training as well as reading music.  The children must practice and keep up to be in the class.

Guitar will be based on a method created by Seth Callister.  His method is a simple method where students can learn to play a song in one lesson.

Call today if you're interested.  We also have private lessons.  208.552.1262
